WEIMAN moves to new IHFC Showroom

At the Fall High Point Market, Weiman Furniture will unveil its new showroom in the IHFC Design Center. Moving from the 11 th to the 10 th Floor, Weiman/Preview products will now be presented in D-1031, a very visible showroom with corridor-to-corridor glass walls showcasing Weiman’s contemporary upholstery and other coordinating introductions.

Interlude Home, Inc. of Trumbull, CT purchased Weiman Furniture from Bassett Furniture Industries in April, 2006 and immediately signed a lease for a larger, more dramatic showroom space on a key Design Center floor.

In the new showroom, Weiman/Preview upholstery introductions will be featured, including two never-before-seen groups from the renowned furniture designer, Vladimir Kagan. He has also designed new occasional tables to compliment his sectionals, sofas and chairs. Weiman has long offered fashion-forward contemporary occasional furniture, but at Fall Market, buyers will view an expanded assortment, complete with coordinated accessories.

To make the strongest impression on contemporary buyers, Weiman, under the direction of Interlude Showroom Design Director Jim McDonald, has engaged the international design firm of Otsu Design to create a unique display and a dramatic selling environment. Carl Philips, President of Weiman Furniture and Interlude Home, expressed great enthusiasm for the new showroom. “Our new consultants and in-house designers have teamed up to create a spectacular showcase for Weiman’s expanded product line. We are proud of our Weiman upholstery and will now have a very special new home at IHFC for our new collections plus space to introduce our new range of occasional tables and decorative accessories.”

In celebration of the new showroom, Weiman will host an opening evening party on Monday, October 16, beginning at 5 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Vladimir Kagan, and get a signed copy of his book, “The Complete Kagan.”
